At Caversham Wildlife Park, we are committed to giving back and supporting the wider conservation community. As part of this commitment, funds from the Wombat Photo experience tickets are set aside to be donated to a reputable wildlife conservation organisation.
In August 2025, we were delighted to share the donation between two invaluable local services: Kanyana Wildlife and Western Australia Seabird Rescue - each receiving $5,128.50.
Western Australia Seabird Rescue is a volunteer based not-for-profit organisation who rescue and rehabilitate orphaned and injured seabirds and waterbirds in the South West of WA. They educate the public about the threats faced by seabirds and ways we can all help in their conservation.
Kanyana Wildlife is a not-for-profit Perth-based organisation dedicated to native wildlife conservation. Their team of passionate volunteers care for sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife. Supporting Kanyana also means supporting wildlife education, research and breeding programs.
While our daily focus is on caring for the animals here at the park, it is just as important to support the incredible efforts of others who are working across the state and beyond to protect Australia’s unique wildlife. These are the organisations on the ground - carrying out the relentless, often heart-breaking, and too often thankless work. They are the people truly fighting for the future of our wildlife, and we are extremely proud to play even a small part in supporting two such dedicated and hard-working WA organisations.
The remainder of each Wombat Photo ticket sale goes directly back into Caversham Wildlife Park. This allows us to continue improving our facilities and providing the best possible care for our animals. For example, in mid-2025 we are very excited to be building a brand new Freshwater Crocodile exhibit - a project made possible thanks only to the support of our visitors.
