At Caversham Wildlife Park, we are committed to giving back and supporting the wider conservation community. As part of this commitment, funds from the Wombat Photo experience tickets are set aside to be donated to a reputable wildlife conservation organisation.
In March 2025, we were proud to donate $9,807 to the Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC). AWC is one of Australia’s leading conservation organisations, working tirelessly to protect native species and their habitats through large-scale conservation programs, scientific research, and land management.
While our daily focus is on the care of the animals here at the park, it is just as important to contribute to the efforts of others who are working across the country to protect Australia’s unique wildlife on a broader scale. These are the organisations on the ground, carrying out the relentless, often heart-breaking, and too often thankless work - the people truly fighting for the future of our wildlife. We believe that by supporting organisations like AWC, we are helping to ensure a stronger, united approach to conservation - one that extends well beyond our own gates.
The remainder of each Wombat Photo ticket sale goes directly back into Caversham Wildlife Park. This ensures we can continue to improve our facilities and the care we provide for our animals. For example, in early 2025 we proudly built new enclosures for some of our wombats, possums, and bettongs - projects that were made possible thanks only to the support of our visitors.
We are extremely proud to play even a small part in supporting the invaluable work of AWC and others in this industry, and we thank every visitor who enjoys a Wombat Photo experience for making this possible.
