DIET

The nocturnal Rufus Bettong feeds on roots, tubers, herbs, grasses and insects; however the largest portion of their diet is fungi.

HABITAT

They are found throughout both open and densely covered, dry and wet Eucalypt forests from Cooktown in the North of Queensland to Newcastle in New South Wales.
